The tree of life

Africa's 2,500-year-old
skincare secret.

The African baobab — Adansonia digitata — is the oldest flowering tree on the planet. Verified specimens are over 2,450 years old. African indigenous medicine has used its bark, leaves, fruit, and seed oil for skin healing, gut health, antimicrobial care and 300+ documented uses for as long as anyone has been writing those uses down.

Every part of the baobab is useful. The seeds are cold-pressed for skin oil — Omega 3, 6, 9 alongside Vitamins A, D, E. The fruit pulp is a Vitamin-C powerhouse, six times denser than oranges. The bark, leaves, and roots feature in 300+ documented African medicinal uses. Centuries before any of this entered a Western lab, indigenous medicine was using every part of the tree for skin, gut, and immunity.

We import baobab directly from the source. Different products in our range use different parts of the tree — seed oil for the healing oil and balm, fruit powder for the therapy mask. We don't blend, dilute, or fragrance any of it. Every grooming product is built on the same lineage — different parts, same root.

What's inside

Just baobab seed oil.
Nothing else snuck in.

No "blends." No essential oils that turn out to be toxic in cats. No fragrance, no preservatives. One ingredient that does everything we need it to do.

01 The whole bottle

Baobab Seed Oil (Adansonia digitata)

Cold-pressed from African baobab seeds. **Naturally antimicrobial** — neutralises the bacteria and yeast that drive recurring fungal patches and hot spots. **Naturally anti-inflammatory** — calms the redness, swelling, and itch that come with dermatitis. **Omega 3, 6, 9 + Vitamins A, D, E** rebuild the skin barrier so the issue doesn't come back twelve days later. Single ingredient. No steroids, no marketing-speak — just the oil African indigenous medicine has used for skin healing for centuries.

How to use

Lead with the issue.
Then the routine.

Wounds, hot spots, scratches

Direct, 2x daily

A drop or two on the affected patch, twice a day. Cleans, soothes, rebuilds. For deep open wounds, see a vet first — once they're scabbed and closing, the oil supports recovery faster.

Fungal patches

Twice-daily for 10-14 days

Apply directly to the affected zone twice a day. The natural antimicrobials in baobab work on yeast and bacteria — particularly powerful for the monsoon fungal patches that keep recurring around paws, belly folds, ear flaps.

Dermatitis flares

Daily until calm

For atopic, contact, or seasonal dermatitis flares: daily application on affected areas until the redness, itch, and inflammation subside. Often calms the cycle without needing the next round of steroid cream.

Coat + paws + snout

Pre-bath massage / daily finish

Once the skin issues are managed, the same oil works for general coat care: pre-bath massage for shine, post-bath finisher for moisture, daily on cracked paws or snout. Same bottle, same dog, less drama.

Mehul T..

Mumbai · Bagheera, 6 yr Indie

“Bagheera gets monsoon fungal flares every August like clockwork. Vet steroids worked but I hated the cycle. Two weeks of this oil twice a day and the patch cleared without the cream. He's calmer, the smell is gone, no recurrence so far.”

Anjali R..

Bangalore · Misha, 4 yr Indoor Cat

“Misha had a recurring crusty patch behind her ears that my vet kept treating with topical creams. Switched to this oil — half a drop daily on the patch — and it cleared in 9 days. She licks it, no issues. First skincare product that actually worked on a cat.”

Real questions, real answers

The stuff dog parents actually ask us.

How fast do fungal patches usually clear?

Most surface fungal patches (the seasonal monsoon kind around paws, belly, ear flaps) calm visibly in 3-5 days of twice-daily application and clear by day 10-14.

Can I use it on open wounds?

Not on raw, bleeding wounds — let them scab first. Once the wound is in the healing phase, baobab oil supports faster closure and reduces scarring. For minor cuts, scratches, and bite mark irritation, you can apply earlier.

My dog has chronic dermatitis. Will this stop the cycle?

Honest answer: chronic dermatitis is rarely "cured" by anything. What this oil does is reduce the FREQUENCY and SEVERITY of flares by keeping the skin barrier intact between them. Most customers report fewer episodes, less intense itching during episodes, and faster recovery. We don't promise a cure — we promise the cycle gets quieter.

Is it safe if my dog or cat licks it?

Yes — human-grade and lick-safe for both species. No essential oils (which are toxic to cats), no fragrance, no preservatives. Small amounts licked off the coat are completely fine. If your pet ingests a large quantity from the bottle, monitor for loose stool over 24 hours.

Can I use it on cats?

Yes — actively safe for cats. The reason most pet oils aren't cat-safe is essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender etc) which cats can't metabolise. Our oil is single-ingredient — pure baobab seed oil, no essential oils anywhere. Use half the dog volume (cats need less) and patch-test first as always.

How does this differ from coconut oil?

Coconut oil is mostly saturated fat — it sits on the coat, gives shine, has mild moisturising properties. Baobab seed oil is rich in Omega 3-6-9 + Vitamins A, D, E and contains naturally antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory compounds. Different mechanism, different therapeutic depth. Coconut for occasional shine; baobab for actual skin support.

How long does the bottle last?

The 100ml bottle lasts 2–4 months on a medium-sized dog with regular use. A few drops go a long way — it's highly concentrated. For active flare-ups, a bottle can last 4-6 weeks if you're applying twice daily.

Why monthly

Skin issues recur.
So does the bottle.

Atopic dermatitis is recurring. Fungal flares come back every monsoon. Hot spots return. The oil works because it gets used consistently — between flares, during them, and after.
